I did not know what to expect from Chuck Black book. Biblical allegories are often lame and you get the feeling the author is trying too hard to make a point. That is not the case here. These books are fun to read. Chuck Black is the author of many novels including the popular Kingdom Series and The Knights of Arrethtrae series. Each story is strong enough to stand on its own. I have 10 kids, and each of the readers enjoy the books. Even kids who are not familiar with the different Bible stories will still be on the edge of their seats. My wife has read all of them aloud. Our children are familiar with Bible stories, and they "get" what is going on. It adds another whole level of interest as they try to link the story they are hearing with the stories they already know. But, that usually happens after each episode, since some of the segments are so tense they are completely lost in the story. Then, after reading to them we hear "Please! One more chapter!" This is a refrain I hear nearly every night.Product details

We have read the entire series. My 12 year old son and I read them together instead of devotions for about 6 months. Perfect for his age. We loved every page. Great adventure and battle. I think adventurous girls would like these as well.
If I could rate 4 1/2 I would! These are really good books, start with book one. I have read the whole series, its all about knights of the prince (believers), and shadow warriors(evil). It is an exciting story which symbolizes spiritual truth.
My son loves these books but we had an older printing of this book and the order of the books has been changed. The cover and number was different so we now have a duplicate of this book. I love the new cover art though!
Was a gift for my son for Christmas, and he absolutely LOVED this book and series!
Highly recommend the whole Kingdom series by Chuck Black.....adults, older children and teens and young adults.

Outstanding! Our family waiting anxiously for the release of this book. The series has been an exceptional journey for our family to explore character building trials in a wholesome manner. I would recommend this book and the entire series to anyone looking for stories with a biblical mindset that does not have the sorcery and witchcraft blended into it.
