Anthropologist Serge Bouchard said, "Man is a wolf to Man, which, you will agree, is not very kind to the wolf." Had he studied the society of teens he would've said the comparison was downright cruel.
Wolves don't prey upon one another without cause. Teens do.
Wolves don't torture one another. Teens do.
Wolves don't commit murder...
Amber is a smart teen with a great personality. That's code for fat. But you never see a fat werewolf, do you?
In this short story of dark fantasy that every young adult who's felt like an outsider will know all too well, you'll find the werewolf lifestyle has its merits. There's just the question of the fee.

The Wolf's Fee will be paid. J J Archer's short story, while fiction, resounds with the real pain that rejection and ridicule inflict upon so many children who become the subject of mean spirited bullies.J J Archer's imagination blends contemporary society with folklore. He brings his extensive writing talent to bear upon a serious problem our school age children may face today in one form or another.
I don't wish to reveal too much of the plot, but I will say that the action moves quickly, and you will find yourself out of breath and your heart beats on the rise as JJ Archer pulls you into the story. Wow.

The Wolf Fee edition by JJ Archer Nikki Grant Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
There had better be more to come, this author will do well, spoken in every day language, yet smartly written,
Great short story! The well developed narrative tone was refreshing, and the plot had me speeding through the story. Loved Amber's character, and really I'd like to see more of the escapades of this particular pack of werewolves.
Based on the cover I was expecting my normal bread and butter guy meets girl, girl meets guy, one of them gets super furry during full moons, and then there’s lots of fun times to be had. This is not that story. This is something better. It’s rarer. It’s more valuable.
I like it.
We all know what it’s like to be bullied. Some of us had weight issues as children, if not now, and even if we didn’t the chances are that there was something else that made people single us out in school. Being preyed upon really hurts. And you find yourself fantasizing about what you’d like to do to deal with your bully. But I never considered becoming a werewolf to lose weight and gain confidence in myself.
